  • Learn technical skills in a supportive environment with Elisabeth Fisher, who has studied under Irene Cheng (Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra), Peter Sirotin (Messiah University and Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra), among others. She has previously held the Johnstown Symphony Youth Orchestra Concertmaster position for three years, and was in the honors trio for four years, in addition to making PMEA’s All State Orchestra. Elisabeth specializes in fundamentals of the violin, having rebuilt her technique from the ground up as an intermediate student. She also aims to provide joy in the process with a variety of pieces chosen by her students in both classical repertoire and modern violin renditions of popular songs.

  • Enjoy learning Scottish or Irish Celtic Music, or Bluegrass Fiddle styles in the Appalachian Mountains. Elisabeth Fisher (or Ellie Meigh in the fiddle world), grew up playing Irish fiddle, and her first performance was in a bar at the ripe age of 7 years old. More recently, she has studied under Sarah Lynn, the 2023 US National Scottish Fiddle Champion, and Melinda Perttu professor of scottish fiddling from Westminster College. Ellie has also studied under Annie Wolaver Dupre (from the Annie Moses Band) learning Bluegrass fiddle, and has participated in the Berlin Bluegrass Festival annually. Fiddle is a laid back style with a flare for the stage that anyone can enjoy learning.
